But even after 4 hours, it was stuck on the same message. Like always, The cursor froze and it started to load.
But even after 4 hours, it was stuck on the same message. Installing update 1 of 1) I panicked and tried to turn it off, but all that did was turn off the screen.
The power button flickered, and when i turned it back on, It returned me to the same message. Hit the power button and hold untill your system shuts down 2.
Just by turning off auto update and reading what the updates are for every time can give you invaluable info on what M$ is doing.
The reason M$ suggests auto update is on is because they don't want you to know how unsecure this thing is. I installed Ubuntu about 3 months ago and am finding that I boot Vista less and less. What it boils down to is that if you don't know what your doing, you get what you deserve.
I've tried to restart my computer, but as soon as I log in the computer, it cycles back to the update that never installs. message ID=3151645#3151645 Endless update cycle --Submitted by john.ford1

My specs: 4790k, 16GB ram, boot drive Samsung 256 SSD with around 140 GB free, video card Titan X.
I have been using a computer for about a year and have no formal training whatsoever.Looking for a solution, eventually I found that my windows hadn't been updating for several months.Trying to update manually didn't work and I got an error message. So I finally saved my 8.1 key and installed Windows 10 TP on my main machine. Hi, Apparently I am stuck on 10041 without being able to update.I always get an error when updating in applying PC settings.Problem is, when it restarts it displays the exact same message and does the same thing all over again. I have tried booting from my Vista DVD and have tried the startup repair thing, but that isn't any help.
